“I wanted to surprise my boyfriend and planed romantic getaway for us. Romantic dinner and then a hotel stay. Of course I kept everything in secret until V-day in order to surprise my boyfriend but he actually surprised me. He said that he has to go to his parents because his dad got in the hospital. I had to cancel dinner and the hotel and stay home watching TV. I couldn't go with my boyfriend because of my job. The end. Not yet! My girlfriend called me and told me that she saw my boyfriend with another girl! So I went to his place and found out that he was there with another girl. Worst Valentine day ever! The good thing is that we broke up and this cheater and looser is out of my life now.”

My dad is a huge major league baseball fan. This year he decided to make it his goal to visit all the Major League teams in the US and Canada. He says it's his "bucket list". Over Easter break we went to San Diego and started on his goal, by seeing a Padres game. We hope to make it to the San Francisco area this summer. The reason I want to win this for my dad is because he has Multiple Sclerosis and has a hard time walking. Since this contest says it includes transportation to and from the ballpark, I thought it would make it alot easier for my dad. We stayed at your hotel several years ago and really liked how it was close to the BART station. We were able to go into San Francisco and see many things.Thanks for letting me try to win this for my SUPER dad! Kelly Thompson

My mother is the best because she has special powers. She has the power to get a to-do list 100000 duties long done before my brother sister and I wake up the next morning. She has the power to stay calm when my little sister crashes our car, I miss my carpool and need a ride and my brother forgets to bring his money for his math tutor all in the same hour. She has the power to give her children the clothes off her back (literally) just to make them happy. She has the power to be the most selfless person and continues to give more then ever on her birthdays, Christmas and Mother's day because giving and making people feel loved and happy is the only way to make herself feel satisfied and at ease. My mother has the power to reach out to her community, her church, her friends and her family all in a days work. My mother has the power and STRENGTH to work 12 hours a day, 6 days a week so she can send her three children to college at the same time, to give them freedom to choose their future and give them the opportunity to be the best that they can be. My mother has the power to shield her pain and her tired eyes to reassure her children that they aren't dragging her down with their finances and to keep them happy and hungry to learn. My mom has the power to light up a room and make any person smile when they sit down and have a conversation with her. My mom has the power to be a loyal wife, a truthful friend and a loving mother. My mom would never put herself before a person in need and that is why I want her to be given this amazing opportunity to have a weekend for herself and so she knows how much we truly appreciate the amazing work that she does.

My mom is the best because she is STRONG! My dad was in a car accident on 1/23/2011. He is now paralyzed and has been in the hospital every since. My mom has been by his side everyday since it happened. She has not missed one day. She has lost weight (all thought she does eat)and may be a little tired but never complains. It would be nice for her to be pampered and have some time for herself. I hope that I am at least half the women that she is!

I have never met a person who is so more loving, warm and giving than my mother. She will always place herself last before all of us... so in-tune with what is needed to make everyone feel well and taken care of. She delivers unconditional love and support in all endeavors, even with those situations she doesn't completely agree with. Words of wisdom flow from the tongue to help when making tough choices. No matter what the task, she's front line and ready. I see her as invincible, a cancer survivor and gentle soul with the vivacity to overcome life's twist. She fills me with comfort, strength and serine calmness. I wish all would have the wonder of calling a person such as her, Mother. Blessed am I to have such Love in my life!

Why is your Mom the Best?:

Well since my dad's Illness My Mother still holds
a full-time job and does all Dad's dr appts and dialysis (which is out of
our area) and still has gd home cooked meal, including Dad's special diet
and still finds time to try and take care of herself. My parents have taken
care of both their elderly parents during illnesses till death..My father
just came to me last week and said he wanted to do something special for
her. My mother really needs time away from the hospitals,dr's appts,the day
to day things. My Mom really enjoys her pedicure and manicures and it's been

6 year for her to relax and just do her.

They've been married for 51 yrs this June.

My Mom is forever in the kitchen cooking something for church, family or
friends.

When you're in the neighborhood and smell something good coming from the
house it's been
noted and people would say "What are the Jefferson's cooking today.
If you stand there long enough my family would invite you in to share a meal
or two..FYI so please pick my mother for the spa package for she truly needs
it..We all do my sister and I do help our Mom but the Love between my
parents is special and unique sometime he only wants her its so sweet and
funny at times..

So please consider my Mom Della for this Mommie Make over my dad would love
it and so would we..
