Hanzel Vineyards – March 22, 2013
Since 1957, Hanzell Vineyards has been bringing their tremendous vision, dedication and knowledge together to produce handcrafted Burgundian style chardonnays and pinot noirs. Join President Jean Arnold Sessions and Estate Educator Ben Sessions as they discuss their philosophy and approach with a dynamic fusion of skill, talent and vision for great winemaking in California which is exemplified by their world-class recognition. Celebrate the flavors of Hanzell Vineyards wines paired with the culinary delights of Chef Quinn.
Frog’s Leap Winery – March 29, 2013
Frog’s Leap Winery founder John Williams, believes that the greatest wines are those that reflect their soil, climate and terroir and that less involvement in the growing process is better. A favorite of the Berkeley Wine Festival, Frog’s Leap returns to display the full scope of their philosophy and organic approach. The winery’s primary focus is on sustainable farming and in understanding and appreciating the soil, which is apparent in their merlots, sauvignon blancs, cabernet sauvignons and legendary zinfandels.
Benziger Family Winery – April 5, 2013
According to Benziger Family Winery, “Great wine has green values.” and is dedicated to the natural growing of sustainable agriculture, producing organic and biodynamic wines from the Sonoma Mountain for close to 30 years. We welcome Chris Benziger to the Berkeley Wine Festival as he presents his single-vineyard, reserve, and estate wines as well as the signature Tribute blend, throughout the evening’s four-course meal featuring organic ingredients prepared by Chef Quinn.
DeLille Cellars – April 12, 2013
Founded in 1992, DeLille Cellars is a small, independently owned family winery located in Woodinville, WA. Owner Jay Soloff hosts this evening and presents all wines made with the highest handcrafted standards from grapes of the oldest and best vineyards in Washington State, then hand picked and double hand sorted at crush. Savor DeLille Cellars’ Bordeaux style-wines, and indulge in the evening's pairings.
